The company needed a significant update to their site’s structure and the technology it was built on. I led the project and the redesign of the site, working with Attention Span’s development partners to implement the changes.
Challenges
There were two major issues with the company’s previous site.
- It was built using a library and framework that were no longer supported, meaning it was very impractical, and in some cases impossible, to maintain.
- It was unable to display project content / highlight significant achievements in a way that exhibited all of the company’s great work.

Solutions
Attention Span knew that an overhaul was long overdue and decided upon a complete rebuild. Luckily, when I led the AttentionFWD.com build we knew that the Attention Span agency site revamp was right around the corner and so much of the programming and site’s needs had been taken into consideration at that point. I revisited our design work, updating it a bit to reflect some new strategic thinking done by the company, and got started on mapping out the site.
It was important to take the preexisting website structure / framework of the AttentionFWD site into account as that code was the foundation we planned to build the agency site on top of. This was both brand decision, we wanted the site’s to feel related, and a resources allocation decision. Using the same framework for both sites meant less development time. It was essential to map out this relationship to ensure the development would be smooth sailing.
I created over a dozen wireframes for the dev team to reference and worked with them and the Attention Span design team to make specific decisions about the site’s look and feel as development got under way.

Results
The results speak for themselves.
The team is now able to update content and the site efficiently and effectively. Attention Span is also now, most importantly, able to tell their story in beautiful, functional way.
